Men

The men’s battle for bronze went between the Czech Vítkovice and the Finnish Classic. Yesterday, Vítkovice lost 11-1 to Storvreta, while Classic lost 10-7 in the energetic battle against Wiler-Ersigen. It was the home team who opened the score, while in box play. Halfway the game, the score was tied (2-2), but after this, Classic managed to score four goals which brought them the bronze medal, as Vítkovice only scored one more goal: 3-6.

After losing last year’s Champions Cup final, Storvreta took its revenge by taking home the gold this time. Wiler-Ersigen – who beat Classic yesterday – showed a strong comeback and turned around the score from 3-0 to 3-4, but after that, Storvreta showed its class and scored six goals in a row. The final score was 10-4, which meant Storvreta’s third gold at the Champions Cup, after 2012 and 2016.
