Pixbo puts halt to Kalmarsund’s great season start (+Highlights)

Pixbo and Kalmarsund both had a fantastic season start, with two victories in their first two games. The clash between the two SSL leaders was won by Pixbo: 5-4.

The match went back and forth from start off, with both teams not taking a bigger lead than only one goal. Gustav Fritzell was the first to put his name on the score form. At 00:15 already, he was assisted by Marek Benes, who would score 3 (1+2) points this game. Fritzell – three points for him too this game – scored Pixbo’s second goal as well, although, in between, Simon Nilsson had scored Kalmarsund’s opening goal.

In the second part of the first period, Kalmarsund turned the score around through goals from Kevin Björkström and Marcus Johansson (2-3), but Benes equalized at 27:47. Again, Kalmarsund took the lead, this time through Simon Nilsson, which made the score 3-4 at the second intermission.

Two goals was what Pixbo needed in the last part of the game, and that’s exactly what they got. At 43:14 Axel Larson equalized and minutes later, Jens Milesson became the game-winner by scoring 5-4.
