Linköping no match for Dalen: 2-7 (+Highlights)

IBK Dalen has won its season-opening game. The visitors were too strong for Linköping, who only found the net twice: 2-7.

Andreas Blom kept his goal clean for exactly twelve minutes, as at that time, Linus Holmgren scored his first (out of three) point of the game: 0-1 in Dalen’s favor. Linköping equalized within minutes, but in the second period, Dalen took a big lead. Rasmus Andersson, Daniel Sonidsson and Ketil Kronberg found the net and changed the score to 1-4.

Linköping scored 2-4 through Simon Palmén and gained strength, but Dalen successfully broke the momentum by taking a time-out and scoring 2-5 shortly after (Linus Holmgren’s second goal). At the end of the game, a counter goal from Andreas Holgrem stood for 2-6, followed by 2-7 through an empty-net goal by Christoffer Andersson.

Dalen is now at sixth place, although the team has only played one game yet. Linköping’s start of the season hasn’t been the best, with only one point in two games. The team finds itself at tenth place.
