Stick in the Spotlights | Joonas Pylsy: Oxdog Ultralight HES

Which sticks and brands do pro players use? FloorballToday explains it to you in a new series: Stick in the Spotlights.

What about the blade?

The blade is Avox Carbon, which gives more pressure with shots. I use the standard curve, I don’t curve/bend them myself any further.

Expert thoughts

Hugo Falk (@hugofgfloorball) lets us know his thoughts about Pylsy’s choice:

“It makes sense that he’s using Avox, because it’s got a stable structure with a solid tip, so it doesn’t wobble too much when he shoots his insane slapshot that only a masochist would willingly sit in front of. He’d probably shoot even harder with Razor, but then we wouldn’t get to see as many beautiful assists from him, his technique definitely benefits from an all-round blade like Avox!”
