This is how the WFC groups ended! Did your favorite team qualify?

The group stage matches have been played! 12 teams made it to the playoffs and 4 teams are going to play placement matches for 13th place. Which ones you can check below, together with the final results.

Group A

Switzerland has had a terrific performance so far and a greater gift they couldn’t have given to the eager home audience. A well earned first place after three straight wins including a huge victory against Finland. Poland and Germany are sent off to the playoffs rounds.

Qualified directly for quarterfinals: Switzerland, Finland
To the playoff round: Poland, Germany

Group B

Sweden is the undisputed winner of group B with an immense goal difference. Czech Republic suffered a big loss against the group winner but retook confidence with a big win against neighbor Slovakia.

Qualified directly for quarterfinals: Sweden, Czech Republic
To the playoff round: Slovakia, Latvia

Group C

Looking at the group on forehand one would probably estimate Norway and Denmark to go through but it was in fact the very last game that decided Denmark to make it to the playoffs.

Qualified for playoff round: Norway, Denmark
To placement matches 13th place: Estonia, Japan

Group D

Singapore showed true strength in this group stage and knew already after two games that they had qualified for the playoffs. The same goes for Australia who also qualified for the playoffs but lost their final match against Singapore.

Qualified for playoff round: Singapore, Australia
To placement matches 13th place: Thailand, USA
