Martina Řepková has been playing in the Czech national team for almost 5 years now and is ready to join the third WFC of her career.
How did you start playing floorball?
I live in a small village near the town of Nové Strašecí. Here I started to play floorball for the first time. I have no idea how I started to play, but I think it was in secondary school during my free time. When I was small I did a lot of activities, for example, athletics, volleyball, and tennis.

In the group stage, you meet Sweden, Slovakia and Latvia. Goals and thoughts?
For us, it’s a very hard group. We have to be concentrated all the time. We started the last three WFCs against Latvia. Sweden is the best team in the world. We know this, but when we play our own game, and when we play well defensively, we can achieve very good results with this team. In the last two games we played very well and we would like to continue with this. Team Slovakia we know very well because a lot of players from Slovakia play in Czech Republic. We would like to play our game and we want to win every game which we will play but we know it won’t be easy.
You’re currently living and playing in the Czech Republic for Chodov, how is the season going so far?
With Chodov we keep the second position. Our ambition is the highest, but the season is long. We would like to win important games, sometimes we have a problem with this. But now it is time for the upcoming tournament.
