With a 5-4 victory against Rychenberg-Winterthur, Wiler-Ersigen is the first team that made it to the Swiss Superfinal. The team won all games of the semifinals: 3-0, 5-1, 7-1 and 5-4.
After three games, Rychenberg finally could get along with Wiler, making this fourth game a tough one. Wiler’s Daniel Johnsson opened the score in the second period, but Schwerzmann equalized. Shortly into the last period, Bürki and Mutter put Wiler-Ersigen in a 3-1 lead, but within six minutes three goals were scored and suddenly, Rychenberg had the lead: 3-4. Three minutes before the game was over, Matthias Hofbauer scored the equalizer and one minute before the end, Bürki scored his second and brought his team to the Swiss Superfinal.
The other semifinal game went between Köniz and GC Zürich. The Grasshoppers lost all of their previous three games (6-5, 11-5 and 6-5 ps), but this time they managed to beat Köniz. Pedolin opened the score in the sixth minute, but only halfway the game the team could double their lead. When the match was almost over, Köniz started to play all-or-nothing, with goals from Julkunen and Rüegger as a consequence: 4-0. In the final minute, Jan Zaugg put the score at 4-1. Tomorrow, the teams meet again in game #5!
