Vítkovice wins Czech championship after beating Chodov in overtime

Almost 7.000 spectators saw Vítkovice win the Czech championships today. The team beat Chodov with 3-2 in overtime.

The first period only had one goal, when Veronika Enenkelová opened the score and put Vítkovice in the lead. During the second period, Tereza Urbánková equalized, but again, Vítkovice took the lead. It was Michaela Šponiarová who scored from a rebound. Chodov didn’t give up and again managed to equalize in the third period. Kristína Belicová set aside her defender and surprised Vítkovice’s goalkeeper: 2-2.

As no more goals were scored, the game went into overtime. Hana Koníčková scored for Vítkovice, crowning herself and her team as the Czech champions!
