In Switzerland, the cup finals are being played today.
The women’s final is between the competition leader and runner-up: Piranha Chur vs. Kloten-Dietlikon Jets. Chur is at 51 points, while the Jets follow at 45. Piranha Chur reached the final after beating SU Mendrisiotto (NLB) 11-1. Kloten-Dietlikon beat Skorpion Emmental Zollbrück (5th place NLA) with big numbers: 10-2. The final between the two strongest Swiss teams will start off at 15:15 CET.
At 19:15 CET, the men’s final blasts off. The current competition leader GC Zürich meets #9 of the NLA: Tigers Langnau. GC nearly has twice the amount of points in the competition (52, compared to 28 for Tigers) and the first competition battle between them ended in a 7-0 result for Zürich. However, last time the team met, the game became a thriller which was only won by GC in overtime: 6-5.
Both games can be watched on SRF (for free). However, you might need a VPN. Further information can be found below:
The game can be watched through the link above. If you live outside of Switzerland, you can simply use a VPN (which tricks the browser to think you are from Switzerland) to watch the match! We recommend PureVPN which starts at $3.33 per month. If you are planning to watch the Swedish/Czech/Finnish finals in April, a three-month VPN subscription will allow you access to these games, too, as these games are geo-restricted as well!
