Today, the finals of the World Floorball Championships U19 will be played. All four remaining games have been played before already.
Four games left, of which two in both divisions. The B division starts off the day with the battle for bronze between Poland and Russia. The teams faced each other already on Friday, when Russia won the game 6-8. At stake is the bronze medal and finishing the tournament at the eleventh place.
The final in division B is between Germany and Slovenia. These teams too have already met, as they both were placed in Group D. In that game, Germany was too strong for Slovenia (6-11), but Slovenia showed against Russia that they grew into the tournament. Winner of this game is the winner of the B division and gets promoted to division A.
The biggest games of the tournament start off at 20:00 CET, when Switzerland and Finland get on the field to play for bronze. As both teams were placed in Group A, they met before, on the opening day of the tournament. By that time, Finland beat Switzerland 6-4. However, losing 8-2 against its arch-enemy Sweden might have hurt the team at least a bit.
The final game of this U19 WFC goes between the Czech Republic and Sweden. As you know, the Czechs surprised Sweden on Friday by beating them 5-1 in their opening game of the group stage. Sweden showed a strong recovery and reached the final without all too many troubles. Can they get their revenge, or will the Czech Republic go home with the gold?
Livestreams to all games will be published on our website. The stream will be uploaded twenty minutes prior to each game.
