The competition phase is over in Switzerland and eight (of twelve) teams have qualified for the playoffs.

GC Zürich (52 points) was the first team to qualify. The team has been playing a fantastic season so far, with many victories and a goal ratio of +65. Wiler-Ersigen became runner-up, followed by last year’s champion Köniz (42 points).

The five other teams that have qualified are Alligator Malans, Chur Unihockey, Zug United, UHC Uster and HC Rychenberg Winterthur. Surprisingly, Tigers Langnau didn’t make it to the top 8: the team finished at ninth place.

On Saturday March 2, the first playoff games will be played. GC Zürich meets Rychenberg, runner-up Wiler faces Uster, Köniz plays against Zug and Malans meets Chur. Winners of this best-of-7 series move on to the semifinals.
