This weekend no more than twelve Swiss games will be played. It’s time for the next double round, with some exciting games! Live streams can be found below.
Round 6 will start off on Friday with two games. First Köniz and Tigers meet, the current numbers 2 and 5 of the ranking. A victory would bring Tigers Langnau next to Köniz. Game 2 is UHC Uster vs. Unihockey Chur. Uster got very close to winning last round’s game vs. Köniz, but as they still only have three points a victory would be more than welcome.
The round continues on Saturday with four games, of which the first one starts at 16.00: Zug United (10th) vs. Waldkirch-St. Gallen (4th). WaSa is having an incredibly strong start of the season and one can expect their streak will continue for at least one more round as the team should be able to defeat Zug. However, the newcomers played great games vs. GC Zürich (6-10 loss) and Tigers (8-6 loss) last rounds, despite not gaining any points from them.
At 19.00 on Saturday three games will start off. Thun and Jets will battle for desperately needed points as they’re now at 12th and 9th place with three and four points. Rychenberg (6th) and Alligator Malans (8th) are (much) lower on the ranking than they would have hoped for before the season started. At least one of them will climb the ladder as they face each other – or will it become a draw?
The absolute clash of the Saturday is the battle between competition leader GC Zürich and current champions Wiler-Ersigen. Both teams are at twelve points (just like Köniz) but the Grasshoppers’ goal difference is +25, while Wiler ‘only’ has +11. Can we expect to see fireworks?
