The Champions Cup 2017 is starting on Friday. FloorballToday gives a brief overview of every team.
Information about the team
The Finnish SPV made it to the Champions Cup attendance list due to the fact that the host country can choose a second participant next to the national champion – in this case Classic. SPV is one of Finland’s top performing teams although the team has been an outsider for the title in the last years. The team plays opportunistic and physical floorball and loves to entertain. In front of a home audience, the team is located in Seinäjoki, the team has to play the Swiss champions Wiler-Ersigen on Friday.
- Mikko Kohonen – Mika’s smaller brother is one of SPV’s stars. The sneaky forward excels in the slot and is guaranteed to score a couple of goals this weekend.
- Jyrki Holopainen – One of SPV’s most iconic defenders has played in the team for ages.
- Jari Hankkio – Talented forward who has reached its prime in last season and hopefully continues it this season.
