Höllviken’s goal scorer Pontus Karlsson Martell became hero for Höllviken last week as he scored 5 goals against AIK to help the team secure their spot in SSL coming season. He’s now signed a new contract with the club.

Pontus Karlsson Martell is one of SSL’s best goal scorer, currently at 3rd place behind Falun’s Galante and Pixbo’s Max Wahlgren. The 27-year old has scored no less than 36 goals, but only 3 (!) assists, which puts him in the 30th place in the overall point scoring league.

Karlsson Martell has been a Höllviken player ever since he was 12 years old, and has been on a journey with the team all the way from the 4th division up to the Swedish Super League. Last week he stood for a world class performance against AIK and scored 5 goals to secure the team’s SSL contract.

”It feels very good to have extended my contract with Höllviken. During all the years I have been in the club, I have developed a strong bond to the association. Halor Hall has become a bit like a second home and my teammates have become like a second family with a community that I think is unparalleled. I feel that I’m still developing and it’s a security to play my kind of floorball in a role where I can take advantage of my biggest strengths as a player. In view of the secured SSL contract, there was ultimately not much to hesitate. I can’t to see myself take on the match site for a different SSL team than Höllviken as long as we play at the highest level.”, Karlsson Martell says to Höllviken’s website.

The length of his contract isn’t specified, but according to the press release, it’s multiannual.
