Fredrik Gjødalstuen, one of the most promising floorball talent from Norway, has taken a big step in his career and joined Swedish Super League club FC Helsingborg on a transfer from Sarpsborg in the Norwegian Elite League.
After a stunning 2017/18 season, Fredrik Gjødalstuen had produced no less than 71 points (37+34) for his Sarpsborg who made it to the semifinals. The 1999-born forward is one of the most exciting talents in Norway and has despite his young age already made his first appearance for the Norwegian national team earlier this year in the WFC Qualifiers.
Helsingborg, who’ve lost several big names – not least their 4 Finnish stars in Kohonen, Hakonen, Salo, and Kivilehto – have chosen to fill in the gaps in their roster with younger and not as well-known players. Sports director Fredrik Azelius comments the signing on their website:
“In Fredrik, we get a big and strong scoring machine. He has shown that he is capable of producing, now I hope he will bring it to the world’s best league. Fredrik is only 18 years old, which means he has the future for himself. Of course, the signing rhymes very well with our philosophy to work with the young and promising. We’re really happy that we’ve managed to get our hands on Fredrik”Join the Floorball Worldwide Facebook Group
