Nico Salo, former player of Helsingborg, returns to Finland to start playing at his old club SC Classic.
Classic itself announced the transfer today. Last season, Salo played for Helsingborg, where he scored 27 points (12+15). He left Classic to play for the Swedish team, but after one season, he returns to the Finnish champion.
Salo states on Classic’s site that “the goal is to succeed with Classic in all series and competitions as a team, fighting for championships every time.” Salo wants to overcome everything that can be overcome: “Personally, I want to raise my own level a few steps further up, and want to help develop the level of others.”
Classic has won the championship three times in a row now. The team has a strong lineup for next season, with for instance (among others) Lassi Toriseva, Eemeli Salin, Joonas Pylsy and Krister Savonen. With Nico Salo added, the goal of next season is clear: a fourth championship in a row.
