Swiss NLA team Floorball Köniz are already planning for the season to come, and have found their coach to take over the team season 2018/19.
Floorball Köniz are a hot contender for the NLA trophy this season, a trophy the 1998-founded club has yet to lift, despite over 17 years in the NLA and having several world class players in the past such as Emanuel Antener, Daniel Calebsson and Fredrik Djurling.
Ahead of this season they spiced up their roster by adding SSL experienced players Patrik Doza, Jesper Johansson, and Hampus Dargren. They’re currently at 2nd place in the table, just 4 points behind Wiler-Ersigen.
Their current head coach, Rene Berliat will be replaced by 36 year old Jyri Korsman, who might be a somewhat young coach – but has nevertheless put together an impressive resume. He’s become 2-time world champion with Finland’s U19 national team in 2015 and 2017, won the Czech Open and the Finnish cup with EräViikingit, and the Salibandyliiga championship with Happee as assistant coach in 2014. Last year he made it to the final with EräViikingit, where they lost to SC Classic.
This season he’s been on a break from coaching, besides from his role as assistant coach for Australia’s national team, who just qualified for the WFC 2018.
