One of the world’s best defenders, Martin Östholm, has signed a new contract with Pixbo Wallenstam which will keep him at the club coming 2 years.

After a couple of heavy hits to the Pixbo roster with Max Wahlgren leaving for Linköping and Linus Henriksson ending his career as an elite player, some positive news has finally been announced – the contract extension of Martin Östholm. The 29-year old came to Pixbo in 2007 and has since grown to become one of the world’s best defenders.

After a weak 2016/17 for Östholm with only 26 points scored in the regular season, he was once again back to his old form this season and produced no less than 51 points (26+25), 2nd most in the team behind Max Wahlgren. After finishing at 3rd place in the table, Pixbo were matched against Mullsjö in the quarterfinals where they lost 1-4 in the best-of-seven series.
