Former chairman of the IFF Referee Committee Klaus Koskela has passed away. The IFF announced the news today.
Koskela has been working hard the last years on improving the referees in floorball. He began in the nineties, simply by refereeing and educating referees in floorball (before that he was active in football). First he joined the Referee Committee of the Finnish federation and a couple of years later the joined the IFF Referee Committee (1997). Fifteen years later, in 2012, he became chairman of this committee. It was in 2016 that he stepped back, although he continued being in the Referee Committee.
Klaus Koskela passed away on Saturday May 20, after a severe illness. He was 59 years old.
