It’s official: Mika Kohonen and Happee reunited

He’s been one of the key players of the transfer rumors this summer, but now it’s clear Mika Kohonen will return to Happee, where he signed a one year contract.

After leaving Helsingborg, rumors had it the living legend would continue at Falun, but at age 41, Kohonen decided to get back to the club where it all started. In 1995, Mighty Mika played his first season in the Salibandyliiga. After five seasons at Happee, he left to play in Sweden at Balrog. In 2004, Kohonen returned to Happee for one season, but his best years were yet to come. He played eight seasons at Storvreta IBK, followed by one more at Helsingborg, before now having decided to return to Finland.
