IKSU Swedish champions after winning superfinal against KAIS Mora

Just like last year, IKSU beat KAIS Mora in the Swedish Superfinal: 2-4!

Mora took the initiative in the start of the game, although this didn’t lead to goals right away. IKSU’s goalkeeper Emelie Frisk had to make twelve saves during this first period, twice the amount her competitor in the other goal (Amanda Hill) had to make. At 15.15, the first and only goal of the period was scored when Amanda Öhman found Jessika Eriksson: 1-0 in KAIS Mora’s favor.

Emelie Wibron led her team to the lead in the second period. First, she assisted Sofia Joelsson in scoring the equalizer and at the end of the period, she scored 1-2 in IKSU’s favor. IKSU grew into the game, improved its defense and continued on doing so during the final period.

Sofia Joelsson scored her second at 49.49 (1-3), followed by Alice Granstedt’s goal at 54.06. In powerplay, Mora scored 2-4 through My Kippilä, but no more goals were scored – despite Mora taking out its goalie. This meant IKSU took the Swedish championship again, just like last year!
