The former Helsingborg player Nico Salo returns to Finland to play for Classic. FloorballToday asked him a few questions about his transfer and his future goals.
How did your transfer go? Did you have an agent and did you have a look at other clubs than Classic?
I don’t have an agent. I negotiated only with Classic. It was clear to me that I wanted to go back to Classic. Classic is one of the best floorball clubs in the world and I’m very lucky that Classic is in my hometown.
You said you want to be an example for others, what is it you improved on the most last season at Helsingborg?
I learned a lot about Swedish floorball. I improved to be more patient with the ball and shoot more than before.
What are your personal goals for the coming season?
I have two big goals. First one is to defend our world championship in Prague. Second is to win the Champions Cup and make Classic the best floorball club in the world.
