Gustav Fritzell steals the show as Sweden beats Finland

In today’s Euro Floorball Tour game between Sweden and Finland, Gustav Fritzell helped his team with three goals and one assist to a 6-victory against the reigning world champion Finland.

It was a game with three stages. Stage 1 started off during the first period when Fritzell, Pixbo’s newest player, opened the score. His goal was followed up by goals from three more Swedish players: Kim Ganevik, Oskar Hovlund and Alexander Galante Calström, which brought Swedn in a 0-4 lead.

The second stage can be called Finland’s comeback. It started with powerplay, when Nico Salo scored Finland’s first goal. Only eight minutes later, the score was equalized through goals from Valtteri Kainulainen, Eemeli Salin and Tatu Vaananen. The last part of the game was the closest: Robin Nilsberth put Sweden in the lead again, but Jani Kukkola equalized. It was Fritzell with his second and third goal who was to give Sweden the victory, as Finland could only score once more, putting the final result at 6-7 in Sweden’s favor.
