Galante and Enström involved in all goals – Falun 1 win away from finals

Reigning champions Falun are getting closer to another visit to the Globe Arena after taking their 3rd win against Linköping in the semifinals 4-5.

Rasmus Enström, who missed last game as his 2nd child was born, didn’t need more than 45 seconds in his comeback before he showed up with an unstoppable slapshot to put Falun in a quick 0-1 lead. His radar partner Galante then extended to 0-2 before the first period was over.

Giant in the net Johan Rehn kept Linköping from scoring for almost 1 and a half periods. But when Linköping after a bunch of quick passes found Matej Jendrisak right in front of the goal, the Czech reduced to 1-2 by scoring his 6th playoffs goal. But a reply came from Falun and Enström, who once again found the net with a great slapshot.

The intensity of the game increased in the final period which had more than twice as many goals as the previous periods and no less than 5 2-minute penalties. Linköping once again got closer to equalizing when Felix Lanver scored 2-3, but once again Falun replied by scoring 2-4 and followed up with 2-5 when Johan Fahlström took a long shot after getting a pass from Galante.

When Holmgren and Jendrisak both were sent off, Linköping took out their goalkeeper to play 5v4, which resulted in 3-5 by former Falun player Eric Björk. After a timeout, they reduced to 4-5 with 9 seconds to go – but closer than that they couldn’t get, meaning Falun is now only 1 win away from reaching the SSL finals.
