First points for Switzerland after easy victory against Poland

Switzerland didn’t have any problems defeating their first opponent of the WFC. Poland tried all it could, but it was far from enough: 14-1.

Within the first minute, Switzerland scored the opening goal by Seraina Ulber. The clear favourites of the match lived up to the expectations and quickly got up in a 2-0 lead when notorious goal scorer Corin Rüttimann found the net. As the minutes passed during the first period, the Swiss extended the lead up to 5-0. At 16:25, Poland finally took its first shot on target – and scored 5-1!

During the second period, things stayed more or less the same. The Swiss took shot after shot and scored goal after goal. At the end of the period, the score was 9-1 and Ulber had already scored four points (2+2).

The third period started off with Michelle Wiki completing her hattrick. In total, she would get five points this game (4+2). The Swiss kept control and scored a couple more goals, leading to a final result of 14-1.
