Classic, current World Champions for clubs have, at least for now, stopped their abandonment by attracting the Finnish forward Ville Lastikka. The Finnish hard-boiled sniper departs from Salibandyliiga club Steelers to strengthen the current national and international champions.
After a perfect season in which Classic won anything there was to win – both the Champions Cup and the national title – a number of players announced their farewell. Both Joonas Pylsy and Krister Savonen, who together have played a major part in Classic’s success in recent years, could not resist the temptations of Swiss’ floorball and announced their adventure abroad.
Today, Classic came up with the answer, at least in part, and announced that it committed the Finnish international Ville Lastikka. The 23-year old forward rose to the occasion during the WFC2018 where he made an important assist in the finals against Sweden and had a strong performance throughout the tournament. With his club Steelers, he ended in the relegation area, but thanks to a strong performance in the playout series against Karhut, the team managed to stay in the league.
The contract is for 1 year with the option for 1 additional season.
