2 coaches have been received a 1-year suspension after match fixing in the Finnish Division 1.
In the game between O2-Jyväskylä and ÅIF in the Finnish Division 1 on the 18th of February, the team’s head coaches decided on the end result 2 minutes before the game was over when the score was 5-5. No more goals were scored, and in the end ÅIF won the game 6-5 on penalty shootout.
After suspicion of match fixing, the Finnish Floorball Federation’s Competition and Disciplinary group began investigating the case. The head coaches have now been suspended for 1 year, and both teams have got 1 point taken away.
