Falun wins Czech Open after leaving Pixbo chanceless

In a game without many highlights, Falun beat Pixbo and crowned itself as Czech Open winners 2018.

Falun had an easy time reaching the finals, as yesterday Chodov was beaten 10-1. Pixbo made it to the final by beating EräViikingit after a penalty series. Alexander Hallén opened the score in the first period and Johan Samuelsson – one of Falun’s new players – doubled this shortly into the second. Pixbo Wallenstam tried to push Falun back, but they couldn’t stop Rasmus Enström from scoring in powerplay.

Pixbo had already missed two penalty shots, but in the last period the team finally opened the score on their side . Through team play, Fritzell reached Stefansson who scored 1-3. With two minutes left, who else than Alexander Galante Carlström scored the final goal of the game.

With the 1-4 result, Falun won the Czech Open just like last year, and again, Pixbo became the runner-up.
