Deny Känzig and Corin Rüttimann Swiss MVP’s 2018/19

Corin Rüttimann (Piranha Chur) and Känzig (Wiler-Ersigen) have been chosen as Most Valuable Players of the Swiss season 2018/19.

Now that the season is over, the awards have been given away in Switzerland. Not only the MVP’s received awards, also the best goalkeepers, coaches and referee pairs have been decided.

The votes for the MVP’s are from the NLA captains, the NLA coaches and the media. Rüttimann has become the league top scorer with 68 (38+30) points. Her team made it to both finals (cup and playoffs), but lost both too. ).

Den Känzig (22) had already won the Most Popular Player award, but now he also received the MVP award. He became Swiss champion with Wiler-Ersigen and scored 52 points this season. During the final, he even made four points (2+2) and became the final’s MVP as well.

The awards for best goalkeepers, coaches and referees:

  • Pascal Meier (GC Zürich) and Monika Schmid (Kloten-Dietlikon Jets) won the title of the best goalie.
  • Luan Misini (GC Zürich) and the outgoing Felix Coray (UHV Scorpion Emmental) won the award for best coaches.
  • Corina Wehinger and Sandra Zurbuchen won the Best Referee Pair award (for the fourth time in a row) in the men’s NLA. In the women’s league, Christian Crivelli and Davide Rampoldi were awarded as best referees.
