Controversial defender Johan Roos extends with Växjö Vipers

Johan Roos, one of Växjö Vipers’ iconic defenders, has signed for his 13th season with the club. 

Johan Roos, one of Växjö’s core players, has signed for another year with his club. The national team merited player has played already 13 season in the blue Växjö shirt and ammased 219 points in 304 matches (120+99).

The player is not without controversy as he received two multiple-match suspensions in the previous season. In November 2017, in the final SSL round before the Euro Floorball Tour, the defender handed out a big tackle against Storvreta’s Jimmie Petterson. For this foul, the defender was handed a red card by the referee and a 3-match penalty followed. Watch the clips below:

Only weeks later, the player received a 4-match penalty after hitting Mullsjö’s goalkeeper Benjamin Löfdahl with his stick:
