Classic puts crown to fantastic season by beating TPS in final series, winning the championship

Just like last season (and the two seasons before), Classic has become the Finnish champion. They beat TPS in a best-of-7 series: 4-1.

This season, the final was played in a best-of-7 series, just like the regular playoff games. TPS, third-ranked in the competition, made it to the final too.

After three games, Classic had already taken a 3-1 lead. The battle during last weekend became the deciding match. 1.757 spectators saw Classic win this fifth game 4-2, which granted the team the title once again. For TPS, it’s the first time ever to win a medal in the Salibandyliiga.

Winning the title also grants Classic a ticket to the Champions Cup 2020, which will be played in the Czech Republic.Classic is the reinging Champions Cup champion, as Storvreta was beaten last year.
