One of Switzerland’s best floorball players, Manuel Maurer, leaves his country to start playing in Sweden.
The king of backhands won the Swiss championship this season with his club Köniz. Next season, he’ll play for SSL team Växjö Vipers. Växjö became sixth last season and could use some offensive strength, and the renown Swiss scorer is one of the best options currently available. During last seasons, Maurer always made it to the top scorers ranking. This season, he ended up at third place with 50 points in the regular season and 76 in total (including playoffs) – in 31 games!
During the won Superfinal, Maurer scored one goal and also in international games, the player scores easily. In the recently played WFC qualifiers, he scored fifteen points in five games. The forward needs to bring goals to Växjö. This season, the team’s year ended when the playoff quarterfinals were lost 4-1 against Linköping. In a few months, we’ll see what Maurer can do for the club!Join the Floorball Worldwide Facebook Group
