Storvreta’s next head coach to take over from Stefan Forsman will be announced tomorrow at 13:00 local time, the club says in a press release.
A bunch of announcements about the future have come from Storvreta the last weeks. Their 34-year old captain Mattias Samuelsson has extended another year, and earlier this week scoring league winner Albin Sjögren signed a new contract as well.
It’s been known for a while that their current head coach Stefan Forsman won’t continue his mission at the club when the season is done, regardless of the results. There has been some speculation about who’d take over, but tomorrow it will be announced.
Forsman’s history with Storvreta goes a long way back. He was a part of the Uppsala club’s foundation 25 years ago, and was their head coach when they took their very first Swedish playoffs gold medal in 2010. After some years away, he made a return in 2014 when he took over from Magnus Jäderlund, and won the gold once again in 2016.
